6466 Replace GT35R

Will a 6466 (+ vband .82 housing) be a direct swap from a Garret GT35R (v-band + .82 Tial Housingl)?

No, they are different. I've heard that you can put a Tial housing on a Precision flange, but not the other way around. I have not tested this and as far as I'm concerned, you need the specific flange either turbo.

Thanks.

Can anyone confirm the Tial v-band housing will fit the 6466 turbo?

Where the compressor outlet sits will be different between the two as well.

sorry to hijack, but this is news to me, and very interesting. Does the same apply to a T4 t/s flange, or is that at least the same? I could understand the LICP and downpipe not matching, but damn, i'd at least think manifold flanges would be the same.

The information that I "heard" wasn't that the Tial housing will fit on the 6466, it's that the Tial v-band will fit onto the Precision v-band flange of the manifold. The internal ring on the Precision v-band is supposed to be bigger then the Tial.

The 4-bolt T3/T4 manifold flanges aren't an issue. The problem is with the v-band setups.
