I run e85 on fic 1050's and a wally 400. make 470/390 on STM dyno (awd 2g) . I am lucky that we have e85 available, but if you were to run out of fuel you can put 93 in as a last resort to make it home or to a gas station. Just DO NOT get into boost and run it till its empty or drain it. then fill up on e85 and your good to go. e85 is cheaper in NY and it makes a little more wheel powers so its worth it to me. I also love the smell!

I run e85 and when I converted I just put in a fresh walbro 255 along with a set of RC 1200's. Honestly thats all you need and a tune to back it up of course. 365hp on the stock turbo and light mods with the e85 map. Love it and I save minimum $0.65 a gallon. I wont go deep into the cost effectiveness but I get 200miles to each tank give or take a few miles, I didnt buy the evo for fuel economy. Make the switch and enjoy the new power!

So what you guys are saying is, get a tune on e85, if you run low get 93 but dont step on it. That sounds reasonable

Trust nme your car will run on an e85 map with 91/93 whatever pump gas you can get but it will drive like **** and you wont wanna drive very far on it anyway. I did some work under my engine and somehow switched maps when playing with some wiring and when I drove my car next it was idling weird and stuttering a bit took me a few minutes to realize, turned it off checked my map and sure enough was on my 91 map with my e85 normal tank of fuel. Car will run but will drive less than stellar.

Sure the car will run as in the engine will be on but its horrible for the car so do not do that. Im not sure why everyone is complicating this so much.

I'd imagine your car is currently tuned for 91/93. When you get tuned for e85 that will now make two separate maps. Set one as your primary and the other as the secondary map using a tephra patched ROM. If you cant get e85 and you must put in normal gas then do so but make sure to switch to your 91/93 octane map.
