Question Evo VIII Tech Help - Please

This weekend I was changing my oil and ran the car w/ the hood open.

I found that behind the oil filler cap on the valve cover I have pressure escaping and the same thing on the RT side of the cover.

I was wondering what should they be connected to.

Any help would be great,

Thank ya'll

The one by the oil fill should connect to the intake manifold right there. My guess is the manifold is capped off. The rt one by the cam sensor should be routed to the intake charge pipe. Once again, that is probably capped off as well.

Another solution, run a catch can with a breather vent/ filter.

Hope this helps

Thank you, so if they are just open should not be a big deal then.

Since my set up is due to my 420a to 4G63 swap I wanted to make sure something did not get missed,

Thanks again

The only problem your going to have is oil squirting out those holes and making it messy.

Get an oil catch can

First off, the check valve by the oil-fill cap is the PCV. And the one on the right hand right (ie looking at engine bay) sends the blow by throughout the intake track.

As they said above, connect the PCV to the intake manifold (i.e. injector #1) and connect the right nipple to the intake pipe (i.e. between MAF and turbo)

Incorrect way of routing catch can lines.. There is NO breather lines or filters you can just use to cap or whatever.. There needs to be a vacuum source to both or youll have ****ty results.

Heres a link to proper catch can install.
