Any adverse effect by reducing the air suction pipe from 4" to 2.75"?

Hi Guys,
just wonder is there any adverse effect by reducing the air suction pipe to the turbo compressor inlet from 4" to 2.75" pipe?

Will it improve the turbo spool?

Thanks

Less power, slower spool.

A turbo with a smaller A/R value will spool quicker.
