Half Rad Question

I keep changing my mind about going Stand. T3 or Front Facing.

Am i more likely to push coolant if i do a 1/2 Rad. I feel like most people that use 1/2 Rad. always have issues with them in some kind of way.

Will it be more likely to overheat?

Or be more likely to push coolant?

Depends what your intentions are. If you're autocrossing or tracking it a full size radiator is your best bet or a good quality aluminum half radiator (ie Not eBay) But since you said forward facing, I think your intentions are drag racing... In that case, you'll be fine. I've had great luck with my Mishimoto half radiator, (not the most favored radiator on the forums because of other vendors.... but the price and warranty beats everyone) i autocross and do canyon runs frequently....

I am running the Small Koyo and F-A-L Fan kit for a year now with 100 degrees plus beautiful humidity and still running strong.

This half radiator was cool with all the room. I first tried the civic half raditor with ebay fan. Big fail. Yeah the temp cluster gauge wont go high cause it just monitors a range, but once you start monitoring temps directly from the ecu its gets kinda scary. Then I switched to the koyo half rad with stock fan. Temps were down, but still didnt like the temps.

I never got stop and go traffic as we don't have that down here. Also I still have a/c if you remove that big condensor i'm sure the temps will be lower.

Civic rad with ebay fan
cruising temps - 190-212 depending on outside temps
sitting at the light temps - around 200
boosted run 0-100 mph - around 250

Koyo with stock fan
cruising temps - 188-205
sitting at the light - 188
boosted run 0-100 mph - 226

Megan Giant radiator with stock fan
cruising temps - 178-186
sitting at a light - 180's
boosted run - 208

Best review i'm gonna give

Half Koyo/FAL fan on my car too, temps are never ever hotter than they were with my full width Mishimoto rad or the stock rad.

aslong as you get a decent radiator with a decent fan you'll be fine , i have a koyo 1/2 width radiator with a Blox 12inch fan and its fine.
