low boost problem

I have evo 8. Recently, I notice the car only boost at 14.5 psi. My car was tune at 24.5 psi. We checked for boost leak, switching 3 port, check the tune map, and yet it still has the same problem. We unhook the 3 port to test the turbo, and it boost by itself fine. So now, I need help to see where else can I look to fix this problem. By the way, i have fp 71hta, 18psi wastegate actualtor from FP.

Thanks

sorry, I just edit it. Could it be wastegate actualtor causing the problem?

It could quite possibly be the wastegate. Or, could also be a boost leak? Or, could even be a leak, or crack in the vacuum hoses and fittings.

When I say that it could be WG related, I do not mean that there is something wrong with the WG itself. WG failures do happen, but they are relatively rare.

If it does turn out to be a WG related issue, then it probably is a matter of improper adjustment and not a mechanical failure. Like I mentioned, there are sometimes material or mechanical failures of the flapper valve or the actuator assembly but they are very infrequent.

^^^^Thanks for Sparky. I finally get some boost going. The problem was the WGA preload.
