Hey guys got a fairly stock evo 8, just injen intake, 3inch exhaust. Want to upgrade cams and valvetrain, whats you guys suggestions? Would later eventually upgrade to a 9 turbo or FP green

kelford/gsc/cosworth/hks cams? size?
supertech or gsc? valvetrain?

You really need to have a whp/wtq goals , so we can better help you decide. I would suggest smaller cams for the 9 turbo.. Just for a good street mannered DD type car, that rips. Like the older HKS 272 cams will improve spool, and still push the powerband to the right.. GSC or Cosworth w/ larger lift profiles (ie. s2 & s3 or m2 etc...) are probably the way to go, especially if you have post 400hp expectations and if you definitely intend to go FP green or bigger

this is exactly what i got in mind, seems like the GSC 2's are the way. For DD are the GSC 2's smooth enough or a bit rough and require a little rev to get going? 400hp is the goal, evo 9 turbo might reach it only with e85, can we reach this goal using the FP green on pump gas 93?

Most people would tell you, do it once, do it right. I'd suggest the GSC S2's or the FP4r's and for springs either kiggley or ferrea.

can you put kelford cams and for springs/retainers to use supertech, in the same sentence as doing it right first time?
