FP Black possible shaft failure :/

Well after replacing my O2 housing bolts and gasket I decided to try and test my semi-new FP Black on my Evo 9. Anybody out there have the same amount of play. I wanna say its between 1/16 and 3/32s play horizontal.

Definitely thrust failure. If FP won't Rebuild it look for a Mellett thrust bearing. It is the same style stainless thrust washer.

Yea that's quite a bit. Reason why I won't go with an FP bigger than the red.

FP's lack of warranty and slow service is why I ditched my FP turbo and will never buy one again.

From what Ive read and my personal experience, they basically offer their warranty and will warranty IF they deem the issue to be worthy of a warranty.

So even if the turbo failed at their own fault, they will say something else caused it. User/install error, improper oiling, yadda yadda, etc etc

I used AMS oil engine break in oil, and yes I cranked it for over 15 seconds with video proof just in case I were to have issues with my new MAP stg 2 engine.

To my understanding BB turbos can not be rebuilt. The complete center cartridge must be replaced. Can anyone else confirm that?
