I'm glad you have not had issues at .026 again I never told you that you did have issues in fact, I said that because you have not had issues does not mean others can't. I guess you were too busy disecting my post for errors. Assuming you have an 8 since you have had your car for 9 years maybe you dont require as much gap. Personally I gapped mine to .020 with a cop. I'll probably try and open it to .023 next time I get plugs but for you to say it's smoke and mirrors when I have personally fixed my ignition issues happing the plugsnis a little misimformative.
Hell with a proper COP I'd try to go out to .028-.030. Smoke and mirrors was not pointed at you per se.

I have seen some folks getting bought into way too much over the years that they do not need at the stage of the game. COP for this example

No argument all is well it's an internet forum. Sounds like you have a beast there enjoy her man

exactly which is why i asked for horsepower numbers and mentioned that if it's close to stock it should be fine to go by manual specs. I'm shooting for 650 whp in a few months as soon as i get my quartermaster 8 leg in but even with the cop im not gonna try and push it past .025. If the sparkplugs were the issue for the op im glad it's resolved. On different spectrums of opinions on plug gap. Glad to hear that you are having good experience with that much open gap. I'm sure it feels better lol than a tight gap like i run. Your right if it's not broke dont fix it but if it is broke then maybe running a tighter gap is the thing to do.
