OEM to thicker Cometic head gasket?

Would changing this gasket have any effect on the car? I know it slightly changes the compression, but what about sound? My car sounds different after having it changed.

Depending on the thickness difference it will have a minor effect on cam timing but I don’t think you would be able to hear that difference. Perhaps you fixed or created an issue during the replacement.
