Nope... put new resurfaced head on and put in some 625 headstuds... didnt retorque them and popped the radiator... retorqued them (a few needed turned 1/4 turn) and burped system again and havent had any issues...

Power around 550 at 33psi... block was cleaned but not resurfaced, the head was decked and cleaned before install, using a cosworth head gasket... like I said, my mistake for not retorquing the studs...

I run a 4g64 mivec that is destroked and 87mm. I used a Cosworth hg and map L19 head studs. Never used coolant. I retorqued the head studs, but they hadn't moved.

Considering doing an o ringed setup this go around

Bringing this back.

If you're going with 0.020" over to 87mm on the 4G64 and have a chamfer on the cylinders, does the gasket need to match the chamfered surface or the 87mm of the cylinder bore.

I notice the stock head gasket is wider than the cylinder bore and matches the cylinder chamfer which i assume is done to prevent having the head gasket poke out and create a hot spot or prevent carbon collecting underneath.
