Meh, it's just money & time. I appreciate all the condolences.

Luckily, I know how to build motors so this will be just a matter of having things machined, buying a new crank, bearings, and cleaning the motor out.

Crank is definitely going to need to be cut, depending on how big some of the grooves are..

You can see that you lost film strength on all of the bearings, and then trash went through to make it even worse as the problem propagated throughout the channel.

If you see any "blue" components especially the rods, I would highly suggest that you replace them for the power levels that you are at. Crank imo requires a cut or replacement if you don't feel comfortable with running cut cranks.

It's going to be replaced. At .25mm cut, the crank is already at it's limit.

I don't know anything about aluminum rods though, which is my next question... Are they recondition-able?

Might be best to contact the conrod manufacturer. IMO if it is a true circle in the bore of the rod ( not oblonged) then it would be prudent to continue using them. However why risk it, just send them in for inspection.

edit: the picture is deceiving on one of the rods, it looks like the dowel locator has moved a little, it also seems to be some fretting on that rod on the inside surface.

Yes its still in the wrong place, but the baffle they put around the pickup vs the 1g just being a flat screen helps.

Definitely helps make the situation a little better however a band aid by mitsu IMO.
Unfortunately I am all to familiar with the 1g pick up, which at the high g launch will start sucking in air too .. which is why dry sump over everything else.
