i hear about people ripping out the transfer cases when racing or something like that.. what will a clutch do for me?? i hear that the transmission is already weak....is it going to worse on the transmission if i get a stronger clutch?? please explain the gains on an upgraded clutch.... i thought you just got one when you had too much HP for the stock clutch to handel???

Thanks in advance

oh yeah!! i forgot! i need to get the perrin cat delete pipe...i wanted to ask some questions about that too...

1. can i pass inspection with out a cat?
2. will it make the exhaust smell?
3. does it make the car louder?

about the cams... i don't think i want to mess with the internals of the motor... that's a little serious. well maybe if there are big HP gains but i'd need to know more about them first.
more questions

1. which cams should i get?
2. who installs cams in the richmond area?
3. how much do you think the install would be?
4. HP and TQ gains?
5. would the car still be a good daily driver with the cams?

Cat-delete pipe:

1. You will NOT pass emissions in VA without a cat.
2. Yes, there is most definitely a difference in smell; a preference thing.
3. Yes, it will make the car significantly louder, of course depending on exhaust anyway.

*Can't help you with cams...I have no intention of going there either...

Don't be scared of cams. It's not going to push your motor to the ragged edge of tuning. I suggest 264/264 from either JUN or HKS. I don't have an exact price for an install, but it's fairly straightforward. Maybe a few hours. Expect HP gains around 20-25 or so. Depends on the level of tune of your motor. Your Evo will drive just fine everyday with cams. There's quite a few daily-driver Evos with camshafts on the boards.

The only thing that turns me off about the cat delete pipe is the smell.... my sister has a 95 TT supra that has apex DP and cat back and it smells like ****.... gets in your clothes.... maybe i'll get it for the weekends that i go out

Thanks for the knowledge

HKS DP and Catback = 850 shipped from a friends guy... i don't know him but he has good prices and my friend get all of his stuff from him with the same cheep prices.

HKS RS intake = i think i payed 295 on eBay

HKS BOV = i just bought a universal one off of eBay and the adapter and recirculating kit i bought from i think lancer shop... although i ended up not using the recirc kit i paid 39 for the adapter and 39 for the recirc kit at www.lancershop.com and i think i paid 199 for the BOV on eBay.

hope this helps
