Timing belt skipped
Timing belt skipped
Well, during a drive to a shop a few cities away for some parts the car seemed like it wasn't as powerful an possibly misfiring. When i left the shop an went to start my car it turned over really slow an went wop wop pop. Sounds like only one cylinder fired. Had the car towed to a shop an they told me my timing belt skipped 4 teeth! Not sure if any valves have been bent yet, will surely know tomorrow but i doubt it since the car drove fine. Fine meaning it drove an boosted an WORKED. What i don't get is, why did it work all the way there then not work after being shut off for a few minutes.
One thing to add is a few months ago it threw a p011 code which is intake cam overadvance. I banged my head for a few weeks trying to figure out what was wrong. Car didn't have any problems besides that code so I deleted the code via Ecuflash. Now i'm thinking the code was telling me the timing belt skipped a tooth. Just thought i'd share this little horror with you guys..
If anyone is throwing a p011, keep an eye on the timing belt!

So the cars fixed now. What happened was oil leaked from the main seal an onto the belt tensioner which caused the slip. ****ty bill came out to $1600 so keep an eye on your timing belts!
