I ordered a comp stage 4 6-puck sprung clutch. Is it necessary to upgrade to a lighter flywheel? My car is only driven on weekends.

No, but I would go ahead and throw one on since you will have the tranny dropped. I wouldn't want to replace my clutch and a few weeks later regret not replacing the flywheel.

I think i saw on Comp's website that you'll need to get a lighter flywheel for this clutch.

Check it again. If they recommend it, then I would trust their judgement and get a lighter one. Just don't go too light otherwise you'll hate it coming from a stop and in between shifts.

He replied to my e-mail,they don't ship here.

The Evo is admired by many petrolheads here mainly because of the fact that all VIII's and IX's were imported by Mitsubishi and only 50 of each were brought in.All older models were all imported by the owners themselves and a lot of them are not registered on the road and used as race cars.

Most Evo VIII's and IX's here are just weekend cars or dyno or drag queens,I think it's because there are only limited numbers. We have a few fast ones here,I think the fastest Evo IX here is a 10.1 sec car with about 700 HP.And I get asked a lot about my car, whether I would sell it or what mods I've done or people just ask me to rev it up a bit at the traffic lights.
