Fuel Pump Loud Noise

The car its been doing this for 2 months, not every day but every time the noise begins and i accelerate the car, the reaction on the car is at follows: It wont go pass 4 thousand revolutions and even with the pedal to the metal the car wont pass the 4 thousand. Even if i press the clutch and accelerate still do the same thing. The boost gauge reads 10 psi and wont go over that, my car its set up to 20 psi.

HELP PLEASE!!

Ok, that sounds a lot like your fuel pump is on it's last leg. Was the car previously tuned? Your situation reminds me of fuel cut and limp mode. I would advise you not to throttle the car very much at all as you may be running super lean. Do you have a wideband on the car ? If so, what does it read?

Yes, sounds like you might have a fuel pump that's dying. Monitor the fuel system pressure.

I concur with the others. Replace that fuel pump and report back. I don't really know any other component behind you that would whine as its dying. Had a similar situation on my double pumper. One whined like crazy so I replaced it. Got up and boosted like s champ.
