I have read a lot online about different rods to use based on HP/TQ. Im only wanting to reach about 600whp on 93 or 650 on e85. Now im just looking for the evo experts to chime in. I have an evo8 and the machine shop is boring the walls to match my 85.5mm pistons. I will say i am on a budget with a kid and a wife that works part time. I was running 540whp and 460wtq on my stock bottom end then i decided to build it. Let me know guys!!!

Manley turbo tuff rods are some of the best you can buy. MAP also has ultimate duty billet rods that are similar and a little cheaper.

I'm about to be making that same power on standard Eagle rods and have no worries about rod failure. They're less than $400 a set but it's all on what you're willing to spend.
