I am ordering a stage 4 competition clutch kit today. Has anyone put this on their Evo yet? My main concern is, does it need a wave retaining clip? If so does it come on the pressure plate? Pictures online show some with it, and some without it..

I hope someone has a legit answer, I call CC today, and there tech will not be back until tomorrow.

yes it needs a wave retainer clip, and clutch kits usually come with it...but i suggest you get the new ACT monoloc instead! its better than the oem wave clip. read up on it

The only failures I have seen with a factory unit were caused by the clip getting knocked loose by the input shaft during installation. :/
