Question Cam gears or no cam gears..

I am purchasing cams this week, want to go with the 264/264, as I hear they have more meat in the 3-4k rpm range then the 272's which you really feel after 7k rpm..

? is, should I chance more drivetrain problems/issues and go with adjustable cam gears? or will I even notice the cam hp increase without the gears?

Any suggestions on cams and gears would be appreciated

Feel free to chime in David B..

Thanks!!

David will tell you No. It's a waste of money really, especially for the relative gains needing repeated tuning on the Dyno to get them.

They don't look to cool when they slip and take out the valves.

I just put in the 272 and can really feel the difference. also not as rough at idle as some say.

save the $$ and do valvetrain upgrade with your cams, not necessary but gives u higher redline and greater dependability...I think it's been agreed upon that the stock evo valve springs suck =O

with or without the wheelies? btw I don't think you need them to idle the car, the ECU (flashed) or piggyback should do the work....just curious
