you are going to get flamed for this one. as for the pshhhh sounds. our evo's run much better when the BOV is recirculated. venting to the atmosphere when you aren't tuned for it will cause the car to run bad (bogging and such). if you want the sound, get yourself an open element intake or get a MAF adaptor to run a cone open filter. you will hear the psshhh sound you are looking for.

i recommend the Perrin Intake System, not flashy and has great reviews. you will definately hear the turbo spool and psshhh sound. By the way do you have an evo 8 or evo 9? if you have the evo 8 i suggest you by the evo 9 BOV and replace the evo 8 plastic one.

As said above recirculating is for a much smoother drive, vta will cause a transmission jerking when coming off boost and sometimes stalling issues, I got rid of the problems by fitting a standalone ecu.
Or if you really must have the woosh go for a Tial bov they sound awesome and no stalling issues on my car

I have the Forge RS DV it has a pretty nice sound

This intake pipe is good quality for a fraction of the price

This is also a decent filter from SE

The For Sale section usually has intakes for under $100. You pick whatever filter you want as long as it fits the maf adapter. It will always make your stock bov more audible.

So, if I buy something like this: http://www.speedelement.com/index.ph...emart&Itemid=1

And what about this one? Whats the difference? http://www.ebay.ca/itm/TurboXS-EVO-V...vxp=mtr&_uhb=1
would I hear it?

I'm beginning let me a chance! :P

Why changing this would affect my bov?

Personally I would go for a K&N filter

Having a filter will make it louder if you just have the stock airbox.

I like my speed element filter. It's a pretty decent size and bolts directly to the maf. You'll probably want a new intake tube too.
