In need of some drag racing advice :)

Hi, so I have an 05 Evo with the ssl package. My best run in the car is a 13.1 @ 104. My car has a catless 3 in exhaust from the dp back, forge rs bov, and a vibrant air filter on the stock air intake tube. I'm running on 17x8.5 +30 enkei rpf1's with a 255/40 Yokohama s drive. The car weighs 3350 with me and a half tank of gas in it. I would like to know what I can do to better my time with the car at its current configuration. My 60ft times are 1.8x 1.9x. Thanks for the advice!

What is your 2 step launch set @. Ive always found bumping up the 2 step 500rpms at a time until you start to spin pretty bad the bring it back. Should help with your 60ft which will also help over all time. I leave at 6800 pulling 1.6 60ft cause of a big laggy turbo ill be bumping it up to 7250 to see if the increased rpm give me a bit mor punch.

Yeah i'm still on the stock 8 with the 10.5 hot side. It's set at 5k atm. Next time i'll test out bumping it up to 5500. Not sure if I could cut a 1.6 on these tires though.

Not fully, I adjusted my octane and timing maps. I control boost with an AEM TruBoost and have an AEM wideband with a usb cable to log and monitor afr.

Get a real intake, LICP, and a fuel pump. Retune and you should be mid-low 12s.

I don't see his current mods plus what u mentioned bring him to low to mid 12's not so easy my friend. He will also need to upgrade intercooler to accommodate for higher boost levels and depends on the tune with good driving 1.6 to 1.7 60ft then yes good luck!

Unless you're running that turbo extremely hard on race gass or something like that, you wont need an intercooler upgrade right now. Main three things I would focus on right now are bumping up the launch RPM, getting a real tune, and getting your driving mod. I would probably move up to about 6500 and adjust +/- from there. No matter how many performance parts you have, if you don't have a tune, its all in vain. Lastly, better driving will help you get more out the setup that you already have. If you're running stock ECU, get NLTS setup on there. It will help make your shifts alot quicker.

I think I'm used to an evo 9 turbo rather then an 8 turbo?
I ran a 12.40 with buschur turboback exhaust, and a MBC Untuned, but the afrs were 11.5x and no knock. Just 2 mods(other then a clutch) Stock airbox, stock LICP, Stock FMIC.
