Post New build suggestions

So I already have an Evo 8 MR back home and I had a built engine with an hta3586 on it. It should be making ~600 whp on pump gas with a safe tune. I don't have any dyno numbers to back up my numbers, this is just an estimate.. Even if it only makes 450 whp, I'm still going to lie to myself and say 600 whp because that has always been my dream goal on a DD evo.

Now, since I'm living in CT, I bought an evo 9 MR (another dream coming true ). VERY VERY stock car, I just installed a TBE and some other minor bolt-ons that got it to around 330 whp on TheShopCT dyno. Now, however, I'm getting bored of the stockish power and am in need of more power.. Destructive power

I have been a supporter of Buschur Racing ever since I entered the Evo world since 2007-2008 therefore I shall not be looking at another engine build other than theirs, period.

What I'm looking for is another 550-600whp, DD car that I can take to the track and get some low 10's with on pump gas (No E85 here in CT ). Some of you might say, "then just do the same build you did on your other evo". Well I say, if you were dating Kim Kardashian and she had an identical twin sister, would you date her as well?

Since this is going to be a street friendly, daily driven evo 9, I was thinking of going with the FP Black or Red, but then that horsepower goal is going to be extremely difficult to achieve, especially on pump gas. And since I already have an HTA3586, I was thinking of going with the HTA3794 as an alternative.

This is where the dilemma comes... Obviously a 2.3 would be the better choice because of it's torquiness at low revs which helps on the street, but with the addition of a Twin scroll hta3794 help it make power over a longer power band than a 2.0LR?

I'm very confused and hesitant about what to build.. I know what I want from this build, I just don't know what to go with... Your inputs would be very much appreciated. Thank you!

If you want such power on pump gas then install a water-meth kit. You could go with dual ecu tunes, pump & pump+water/meth.
I'd definitely go for a 2.3L with any turbo larger than an fp green.

Baah... I hate meth... I've just heard so much going wrong with meth injection that I just feel like it's too risky to install...

With water/meth you're simply increasing fuel octane rating & reducing combustion temperatures which will make your engine happy!
You would have a gauge/light that would indicate pump operation & meth tank level, plus, you could setup a fail safe mechanism.

So, what risk are you taking about??

I just don't like the idea of meth injection whats wrong with you

Just the idea of having my engine run on 30+ psi with meth and any slight failure from the pump could cause disastrous consequences to the engine... Plus the refilling of methane and blah blah blah.... I just feel it's extra cash going to where it's not needed... Put some E85 or C16... To me that's much much more efficient than meth injection...

Don't start hating if you're a meth fan... This is my opinion and I would like to stick with it thank you very much...
