balance shaft elimanation help!

balance shaft elimanation help!

hey guys, i wanted to know a few things about balance shaft removal, i have a stubby shaft and ive blocked the oil holes by spinning the balance shaft bearings 180 degrees..

is that all i need to do, just fit in the stubby shaft and im ready to go?

Yeah. Install shaft and rotate bearings on the rear shaft to block oil flow and you are good to go. Make sure to fill pump with assembly lube before hand so it isn't dry then prime engine before you start it. I usually spin the oil pump with a drill to prime the Motor before I install the timing belt.

Also, I like using the AMS balance shaft eliminator kit using the milled balance shaft. This keeps support on the oil pump gerotor gear. This will keep the pump from possibly binding and causing premature pump failure.
