AYC/ACD fluid change question?

first of all is the AYC/ACD the same thing?

and secondly, if not where are they located and how do i drain and fill them?

and both need ATF SP III right?

Quoted from Wiki: "Detail improvements have also been made to Mitsubishi’s own electronic four-wheel drive, to the ACD 5 + Super AYC 6 traction control".

USDM models did not get AYC because of extra bulky emission crap needed to pass in US, but we did get the ACD. To answer your question I don't know, we don't have AYC so I'm not sure which fluid to use there, but for ACD I use Mitsubishi OEM ATF-3 fluid.

I'd suggest googling a little and you'll find the answer if noone here is replying.

USDM 8/9 do not have AYC.
AYC and ACD are not the same, they work in conjunction with each other.
AYC is active yaw control, it is in the rear diff.
ACD is active center differential, its in the tcase

They both use ATF
