A hole in my TC!

I just found a small hole in my TC from swapping out the diff to an LSD diff. Should I be worried about this? It looks like it's been there for a while and doesn't look like it goes in deep. Just hollow in there. Doesn't look like oil ever came out of that hole either.

I wouldn't call it a hole... Looks like a chip from taking the tc and or the trans out. I wouldn't worry about it unless you can see some stress fractures or hairline cracks.

I have something really similar on mine as well, and I think on that same spot. It looks like it was possibly caused from that bolt on the other side being threaded in, possibly over torqued from the factory. If you look in that pic, the bolt above that on the opposite end also looks like it has a crack forming there too. Or at least that's what it looks like from the pic.

Im wondering if its common and just due to the material the case is made out of not being all that high of quality.

I have the same thing, it is from the bolt hole being drilled and tapped. Nothing to worry about
