Stroker Kits

I know they increase displacement but i dont know the technical side of it.
I also see that they come with pistons and rods along with the crank.
but i already got pistons and rods.so if i were to get the crank alone...would it still work?
sorry but i really dont know about these things.
also...if it could work for me by just getting the crank alone...where can i buy it?

thanks guys.

With a stroker crank you either need shorter rods, or to have the wrist pin moved up in the piston 1/2 of the increase in stroke. For example, a 2.3 liter stroker kit has 12mm extra stroke compared to the stock 2.0 crank. In that case you either need rods that are 6mm shorter than stock or to move the wrist pin 6mm higher in the piston. Since going with shorter rods gives you a really bad rod/stroke ratio most places use stock length rods with the wrist pin moved up.

also, i believe that most of the stroker kits come with forged rods and pistons, which is a plus. dont know about the ones for the evo yet though

It would be alot easier if you told us what pistons and rods you have now to match a crank to it.
