Yeah the crank in the AMS kit is the manley race series forged, u can upgrade to the billet crank, but the price goes up... I am still deciding whether to go a forged or billet.. The forged is good for 700 hp, I won't push more than 650 hp... I know the billet is better and holds more power, but I won't be going for more hp.. So, up until know, the AMS seems to be the ideal option for me.. Is there any vendor selling it on here, or do. Just purchase it off their site?

 

What about MAP's stage 2 stroker kit for $2k

-Manley forged crank
-wiseco 1400hd pistons
-Manley I beams
-acl main rod and thrust bearings
-arp mains

Sounds like the perfect setup to me

 

Sound like a super package, do you know anyone who installed it? Is it as good as the AMS kit ?

 

I have no first hand experience with either kit, but it looks like they use some of the same parts and the MAP kit is most likely what I'm going to go with.

 

Sounds good, am going to contact MAP about their kit... Mostly likely will go with their kit,
it has good pistons, rods, crank which many good kits have...
