recently bought an 06 MR and took it to my local mitsubishi dealer and they told me the harmonic balancer was not in my car.. Will it run without it? does that mean they put on a pulley system and shaved the cams? Or any other options? plz help me

 

It probably has a aluminum crank pulley, eliminating the stock rubber "harmonic balancer" crank pulley.

 

I'd personally check to see what is on the car. If it has an ATI or Fluidampr, they are worth around 300-500 dollars. They are as good and better in some cases than stock. If it is just a cheap aluminum pulley, I'd replace it with the above or stock.
