I do not think I have the HKS Kansai DP. Regular HKS and mine did not have a heat wrap. The only DPs that I know that have a heat shield for the oil pan is RMRs.

Thanks.

Guys...thanks for the replies. I may pull it off, because I did not use the spray application afterwards.

I would go with a heat shield on the oil pan similar to RMR's, but haven't seen any good applications.

I requested a stick on heat shield for the oil pan from Buschur when I ordered my DP. David says he has them. I think $10.

I agree, the oil pan heat shield makes more sense and is much cheaper.

Call Eric at RMR and see if they will sell the heat shield separately. I have the RMR DP - the heat shield is a large square with adhesive on the back that attaches directly to the oil pan. Mine has been on for over 15,000 miles through snow, rain, ice, etc. and has had no problems.

No, it should come with the RMR DP. I am waiting on the one I ordered from Buschur Racing as HKS does not ship one with their DP. Hopefully it will be here today.
