Torque and or shock breaks gears, yes. High rpm shifts wears synchros out. The setups and turbos are making "power" over 10k rpm, but I can't afford to maintain engines and transmissions at those rpms.

I also use AMSOIL severe gear 75-140 gear oil to protect the gears. Shifts good and should take a lot more before it will shear and allow the falling of the gears and teeth to get pulled off. When my DSM was doing that regularly many super smart people recommended a better gear oil.

Ordered the new output shaft/Pinion gear today, it was like the last one in the country I believe, had to get it from a dealer in Illinois and evidently they new it was the last one so they tried to charge me list price lol. Hopefully have it tomorrow or the next day and have the car back and running this weekend and for the shootout.
