So enjoy yours and let me know when the crank snaps.
Wow you are right! Every single person who has ever owned a stroker motor has definitely read your thread. It must mean that Dave Buschur's personal cars, AMS's time attack cars, MAP's shop cars, and thousands of others are all built for the single purpose of snapping their crank...

Or it might be fore the fact that most people don't own heavily modified evo's for 100k miles on average. They move on to their next project. By the way I think Blue91x has you pegged.

LMAO, I'm really debating putting this in my signature.

I also have friends that are on different builds not know companies and blew their engine 3 times in 1k miles. Stay with AMS, Buschur Racing, ETS or Mellon. Just research the big companies. You pay a little more but they can tell you for sure how long you can expect your engine to last. I personally will go with Buschur Racing when I am going to upgrade my engine. They have the best price and quality. Beside Dave never ever got upset when I called and asked him questions.

Why not ask how many miles people are getting or have on a stroker and decide for yourself. Looking for 1-2 of the right answer is harder than asking an easy one with easy answers .

lets see av. 12-15k miles per year 100,000/15000 , has any one owned their evos for 6-7 years? it doesnt matter if its oem or modded. if so how many of those miles have been running with internal mods? the op is doing what i was doing before. made a decision and now is trying to juststify that decision. i went for a 2.4 4g64 (which i think is not a stroker) and did research trying to justify my decision. he is doing the same.

I have about 2500 miles on my Motor now. I. Just drove over 1000miles round trip to the shootout. The Motor used less than 1/2 of a quarter of oil. I didn't race at the shootout because this is my only car and I can't afford to break the drive train. I did over rev the car on a second gear pull because I looked away for a second and I am not used to the doors the rpm rise yet with the big Turbo and Motor.

Ok so it's hard to find anyone that has even 10k miles on their stroker much less 100k at this point.

I had 30k miles on my 2.3 when I pulled it in May(trapped 133mph in Feb). OEM 100mm, 150mm Eagles, and 8.5:1 Wisecos. Bearings were all clevite 77's. It had 160+ in all cylinders(warm). It had the everliving snot beaten out of it all of it's life. Saw 8500 rpm on more than one occasion. HP level from 400 for 20k, 550ish for another 8k, and 635whp for 2k miles. My motor was built loose to survive at higher RPM, so it would eat some oil...otherwise no issues.

I am fairly certain a well maintained stroker could go for 80-100k at a reasonable power level.

Dude, you just don't get it do you. Most people who build these cars don't put tons of miles on their motors or their cars for that matter. There are very few people who daily drive 600whp+ cars. And the vast majority of people with big money builds don't even belong to this forum. A stroker will last as long as the tune/use allows, just like any other motor.

Let me save you some time and tell you what you want to hear:

"A stroker will never ever last as long as a built 2L motor and there is no reason to ever consider any of the benefits of a stroker."

Go build your 2L and let us know how many miles you get out of it.

I already have a built 2L and so far... see no reason to step it up to a 2.3 or 2.4

I have 2500 miles in 2 months. I will be piling on the miles. Also Steve has over 10k on his stroker with a ton of Racing on it. But you are stuck on some BS that strokers are junk. So enjoy your 2.0. But don't ask a question then argue when people answer.

My only argument is that no one has been able to answer my topic.

I think I just crossed 10k on mine in a year, with track miles and such, but I have other cars to drive. I just don't enjoy driving my 600whp Evo in traffic. So I'll be leaving it home more.
It just sounds to me like you can't pay to play. Just about everyone here with any built evo has it as a toy, not a daily driver. If its a daily its for fun not out of necessity. Go buy a Mercedes diesel or a Volvo if you want to drive around the planet 6 times and leave us alone, we know what we are doing.
