car wont start, stroker timing
car wont start, stroker timing
my car was working fine yesterday, good power no strange noises. this morning when I try to start it it wont start. engine would turn over but wont start. I check the battery voltage 13v wich is good, checked that I hav fuel, spark and checked the plugs. I pull off the timing belt cover and notice the timing mark on the belt is way off from where it should be. I kno my engine is either a 2.2 or 2.3 stroker, eagle crank and rods . Are stroker engines physically timed differently or did my car suddenly jump timing as a result of something going bad like the tensioner? I kno very little abt strokers.
also im hearing a strange noise/rattle when I turn the engine over. after ive tried to crank it like 10 times to start.
please help.
also note engine is fairly new, never ever driven it hard yet, have been driving it for 3 months daily drivin at normal pace. ive only done 300 miles on it after it was built.

no timing changes with a 2.3L, with a 2.2 it depends if you built it with a 63 block or 64 block... most likely a 64 block, so each cam gear should be retarded 3.75 degrees...
