Was looking to purchase a grimspeed 3 port ebcs and then I saw others offer just a ebc.

Not sure what the difference between ebcs and ebc is? Are they both the same?

An ebcs is electronc boost control solenoid, an ebc is an electronic boost controller. The grimspeed is an ebcs which uses your factory ECU and factory connectors to control boost (after a flash to tephra v7 and a tune). An ebc is a standalone unit in most cases that will let you modify boost from inside the cabin. An ebc is similar to a manual boost controller in the way that the car's ECU does not control the boost curve, it does. (For instance an AEM TruBoost). You also need to tune the car in this case but the ECU is not controlling boost.
