E85 in tank while stored or retune on 93 necessary??!!

Hey tried to look this up but couldn't find anything close to my questions..

I am currently running on e85 in my evo 9 and it's about to be that time where I put away until next spring.

I've read that e85 stored in the evo w/o turning on/driving the car is pretty corrosive to the car, injectors, etc. So since you can obviously drive year round on e85..

What if I was to turn on the car every other day or so?

Or is it probably in my best interest to get retuned on 93 and then store the evo?

Would appreciate any help!

Another thought is could I drain the evo of e85 and leave the car on complete empty?

Get rid of it and tune it on 93. You will have some serious issues if you leave the e-85 in it for a long time without it running.

Read up on the e-85 stuff. If you let your injectors sit with e85 in them, they will rust.

What if I turn on the car every other day so that it doesn't just sit there?

that just sounds like a pain lol. my car isnt tuned on 93, just E85.. i drain my tank and put 93 in and start the car once a month on it over winter months. the car will just run rich, as long as you dont drive it you will be fine

It's not bad for the car that I'm putting 93 in when it's not tuned for it? Definitely sounds like a cheaper/better route than a retune

If your cars evap system is intact and the car is stored inside it isn't really an issue. Just fire the car up on a regular basis. The E85 in a closed fuel system under pressure doesn't allow the injectors to rust. It is when they are removed and sitting with humidity and ethanol in them can corrode. I am surprised the car isn't dual mapped. Most cars have a 93 map and E85 maps. If it was an option I would switch to the 93 map and fill it up with 93 and fire it up weekly and allow it to warm up fully each time.
