engine wont start
engine wont start
Okay everyone, i had a post a while back about my car not starting. i replaced the fuel pump to upgrade to a walbro 255 only to find out that it already had one from a previous owner. So i replaced it anyways figured new is better. after priming and priming the fuel system i can only get about 42psi (not sure if that is enough or not) also the crankshaft position sensor was deemed to be bad through this whole process. The engine is completely in time and cranks normally, it just doesn't start. im at my witts end out of ideas any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks again

Just pull a plug after cranking for several seconds. It should smell of gas. BTW, 42 psi out of the fuel pump doesn't sound right. That is about the pressure you should see after the FPR.

ill check that fuse in the morning as well as pulling a plug im pretty sure i checked all the fuses but i might of missed one who knows. BTW 42psi is the rail pressure i should of clarified that before.

When you try to start have you tried giving it a little throttle? If the idle speed control is whacked it could be starved for air.
