noisy clutch? sounds like a dragging caliper?

intermittently my clutch will make a loud sound upon initial engagement from a stop, similar to that of a stuck caliper. if you've ever had a stuck/sticky caliper make that brief "waahhh" noise as soon as you let off the brakes and start rolling, you know what i'm referring to. it doesn't happen every time, but it does happen often. once you're moving its all good

also, if i hold the revs out too high and/or slip the clutch for too long, like when starting on a steep hill, it makes a whole different noise, almost like a grinding, which can be felt through the pedal.

any suggestions?

i believe the car has some sort of aftermarket clutch in it, just haven't had time to replace it with something i know i can trust. if this is a bad sign, i'll get on it sooner than later.

making noise at engagement on these cars are pretty normal. when i first started driving the evo, I made that noise a lot but now i don't. I guess its just getting used to...

your second problem you mentioned at high revs, i have no clue. never had that problem.
