Ok everyone im back again, when I received the second complete engine it has a T3 on the block under the manifold... the one I pulled was a V3 block is these the same internals?? I am buying all new parts and don't want to buy the incorrect parts for the T3 block... I will be buying rods, rings, also bearings will they be the same if these blocks are a V3 and T3?

OP. You need to work with a competent shop that knows these engines. Even a stock Evo should not be running 87 octane ever. Rebuilding/replacing a motor without replacing the oil cooler (and anything else the contaminated oil touched) is a recipe for disaster. We've seen this a lot on EvoM where people try to save a bit of money by reusing contaminated parts and eat through multiple engines. It sounds like you've been trying to do this on the cheap yourself, and you need to talk to someone who knows the platform before you are on engine #3.

Doing it cheap ALWAYS costs more in the end. But, does make for some very interesting threads.
