ETS short route w Honda battery mod

Just trying to see if anyone has done the ETS short route upper pipe with a Honda battery swap..seen the battery can be swapped out and prefer that over a mini battery kit..just unsure if recirculation pipe will clear Honda battery

Thanks

most short route kits won't work with anything outside of a mini battery kit. your probably better off relocating a full size battery to the trunk.

I believe NiseiEngineering.com has a relocation tray and their blowing everything out right now.

good luck

^ Actually that is somewhat wrong. I had the honda battery not the R version (switched + and - posts) with the Muse short route upper which is a bushur knock off (I believe) then I went with a miata battery from autozone in the standard orientation (like the stock one) and cut the tray. I was still able to fit the same Short route upper.

I prefer the miata because its smaller and much more reliable and readily avaiable than the mini batteries.

Coo thanks.. I got an extra tray and picked up a fairly new Honda battery from friend...if it doesn't work then I'll re trim tray for miata battery.

My rust came from the inside. So I made a new one out of alum 👍😁

the older ets V1 pipes had a rust issue which was resolved.

On the Miata AGM battery, I got the wet cell version. The neat part about the AGM is you can mount it anywhere in whatever orientation you want, BUT it does have problems when trying to recharge it (must be done on a slow charge) thats why I just got the wet cell miata one.
