If you're broke, this mod is not for you. The figure Ferrarokid quoted for the completed job is fair. By the way, there is an interesting article in the May issue of Sports Car International regarding the Evo RS. Kevin Buckler makes some comments about the front diff in the RS that I don't quite get. My install so far is seamless. Go figure.
Cheers,

If the diff is reliable and maintenance free (well at least as maintenance free as the standard front diff), then $1600 is more than fair. It's the price of a nice set of rims/tires, and it will provide a huge performance benefit to the right person. Hell, if the front LSD keeps you from sliding into a pole, it's worth its weight in gold I'm definitely interested... provided I can find someone local to install the thing.

much prop to you guys on this and keep us posted on further tests. $1600 is not too bad but hope it can be cheaper,as long as it takes the evo's potential further more its a must.

Hey Ferrarokid,
What are you credentials? Just curious. How come you know so much about this stuff...
Can you show pics of your car? Would love to see it!

Thanks,

Meat

I think he was just wondering (curious). I don't think he was being haughty.

CREDENTIALS . .

Well meatsauce, It goes like this .. once apon a time In a little village just outside venice (Italy) .. there was a young man who used to fix the town tractors .. he was a good kid & respected by the other townsmen & women ! ! . . one day the young tractor mechanic heard this very loud noise .. but could not make out what it was. is this some sort of racing tractor ? ? was there another mechanic coming to the village, to be the new tractor man ? ? why it was enzo himself .. he approached the young man with caution (he was catholic) and asked him if he was responsible for all these "hot rod" tractors ? why yes the young man responded .. after taking a step back, enzo responded howa woulda youa lika to coma anda worka for mea .. the rest is history !

I cant argue with that. I was plowing the back twenty last summer, and Tommy pulled up on his tractor, revving it and what not. So I knew it was on, immediately. SO I gave him a blast of my tractor at about 1500 RPM to let him know I was not to be fooled with. Long story short, he smoked me on that tractor, I had mud all in my teeth. He is fast, and laid the smack down in my own field. Damn. Thats how we got introduced. But this year, its on, I am building a wicked ride on tractor, PTO and an attachment for spraying fertilizer. Now bring it!

.....to tractors and Evos, or the two together(hot)...

So have you tested this new LSD on the skid pad, for some PRUVEN results?
