Looking to pick up a built '05 running a 6766 and I think it may be a little much for daily driving. It has 800+WHP! My last Evo had a 2.0 with the Red putting down just under 500WHP. I'm thinking of a 6266, 6466, GTX35R or an HTA3586? Plus I'm at high altitude. Looking for quick spool that will hold it till 8000 RPM.

Why not drive the car first and see if it is to much turbo. You can always turn the boost down and get it re tuned. so that way later on if you want the 800 hp back you can still have the turbo

I think try the 67 an c how it spools an let us know , i have a 2.4 also with 10.5.1 com wit a hta3586 and it spools rater quickly , if not to fast lol

 

What IM and cams are you going with? Big cams + Aftermarket IM go with 3586 or 6266. Medium cams and stock IM go with 6466.

 

Would u mind explaining why you think this? Also, what do u consider "big" or "medium" cams?

 

The Black on a 2.4 spools like the stock turbo and can make >600 out the top. Or you can turn it into a lag monster like everyone else then part it out or sell the car

 

Why not wait for the FP Zero to come out? I suspect spool will be very similar to the black but with a better top end.

 

^Whoa they are making an FP Zero.....? I knew I should have kept the stock frame turbo lol.

I love my HTA35R, slower spool, but perfect DD coming from a Stock 9 Turbo that was always in boost lol.

 

Why did you sell your WW? I loved that car. It was a beast. Thought you went to a GTR and was never coming back?

 

Cams and IM are two big factors that either move the curve left or right. That's been my observation. No personal testing though. What's your thoughts?

I'd consider STM750s cams large. Medium would be m2 or s2s.
