I have recently bought an 1996 evo iv it was running mint up until i blew the clutch out i have since replaced the clutch but ever since replacing the clutch its lost alot of power i was running 16psi before i done the clutch in it but now its only running 5psi i have taken all boost and vac lines off to see if i can find a leak but cant find a single one i took the intercooler piping and intake piping off took pod filter off and theres oil in the turbo and all piping but not the pod filter could this mean time for turbo rebuild ? or worse ?

Check waist gate pre load. If the waist gate is opening, you'll have a had time building boost. Also check that the recirculation valve. If it is leaking, you'll have an issue as well.

You are also about to hear a lot of, "did you do a boost leak test?"

 

its got a factory wastegate on it so if its that is it just easier to replace it ? also yes iv done a boost leak test couldnt find a single one cheers man
