quality zip ties

If any one is looking for high quality zip ties, Mouser has Panduit heat stabilized zip ties with a stainless steel tab. These are good 240F while typical zipties are rated to only 185F. The stainless tab makes the ties fully adjustable (no grooves in the ties; the tabs bite and hold). The nice thing about ordering from Mouser is that they are available in quantities of 100 while all the other places I searched only had them in packs of 1000 ties.

BT1M-M30 - This is the standard 4" long small size that is handy for vacuum and boost lines.

BT2S-M30 - This is the medium size all purpose tie.

Yeah, their price per zip tie is really good, and not having to buy 1000 is great.

I use the Thomas and Betts ones, they have the same metal tabs too, very high quality. A ty rap gun is also very handy, gets them much tighter than you could ever get by hand and cuts them off flush too.

Let me know if you need the gun Mrfred

Just be careful not to ziptie wiring too tight though. It can eventually chafe and cut through. You really just need it to be snug and not have excess play. Felt tape works nice as an alternative to zip ties as well. One nice benefit is that felt tape wont cause rattles and noises.
