They might not show the exact piston on the site but they're an authorized dealer so they can get those pistons for you. Ask for Brian if you call them up. He always takes care of me and is a friendly guy to deal with.

k669m87ap are the correct piston for your combo( per Wiseco ) . I would recommend two -10AN fittings off the head, and utilizing the balance shaft inspection hole for a third third vent. Everything you need is on one page at STM.

just call them when you order. you will also save a ton of money by calling them. I saved probably $500 or more on $3000 worth of stuff

I just got ahold of david buschur and he said they go with the manley flat top 10:1 on their setups but i dont think that would be best for a 1000hp 2.4LR

As much as I respect David's opinion on just about anything Evo related... I've had two friends crack Manley pistons and I would not use them over HD2 Wiseco's anyday for even 600whp+

I'm doing your work for you I guess, I'll brb with a part number for you as I quoted the wrong one the first time.

**edit** I changed the first comment to the correct number, which is k669m87ap for your application... assuming you are boring the 4g64 .020 over for an 87mm bore. They said the catalog isn't written properly for the 4g64/63 swap, and that although it doesn't list these for the 156mm rod, they are correct (per their compression/deck height calculator) . I also went an confirmed in my folder that these are the pistons used in my build.

Just curious. Why 1000HP on a 2.4L?

Drag racing, tracking (which would be crazy), bragging rights?

Have you thought about everything else that needs to be upgraded.

I just saw your other post about the turbo orientation and don't take this the wrong way but it doesn't sound like you've done enough homework. If I'm wrong then I'll be the first to apologize.

Thought the same thing, like he's saved a **** ton of money for the build and has great intentions.... but that they are not realistic my HUMBLE opinion. None the less trying to get you setup properly bud.

Ill probably just end up throwing it on the drag track. Ive always wanted to build a 2.4 evo so i decided to and im going to go with the highest hp i can. Ive done a lot of HW on it. As for the orientation i asked as in for other reasons like would i have fitment issues with a turbo bigger than gt37. I was planning to go with an FF cause i got a steal of a deal on a kit and im going to do my stm breather setup in the stock filter position. Ive built a lot of cars it's just always nice to get others insight on stuff.

Also, if using a standard head gasket thickness that it will actually put you around 10.8:1

I'm putting a new 1.5mm Cosworth FSL HG on mine this weekend and some new studs to drop it back down to around 10.2:1

Thats cool. I was just making sure. FF may not work depending on how big of a turbo you go with and how the manifold is built. Make sure you talk to whoever's manifold you go with and tell them what turbo you are deciding to run to have them let you know if you will have fitment issues.

Your car will break.

As long as you are cool with spending upwards of 20-30k when everything is said and done and fixing the potential issues that will come up with drag racing a 1000hp Evo (drivetrain, wear and tear, etc), then have at it.

Good luck with your endeavours

STM can literally get you anything, and yes the phone call works wonders. You'll not only find that it'll save you some $$ but it also helps to know they can locate whatever part you need. Including the new Wiseco HD2's for any application
