Practical Mods

i want to get some practical mods, money doesnt really matter, i just want something to drive that isnt going to break down all the time and put unnessesary wear on my engine, i also what a very well made high end product right now im looking to get the HKS 30th anni exhaust and HKS DP, HKS RS intake, HKS IC Piping, and ill be getting a custom dynotune/reflash soon. Yes, I am an HKS freak. Anyone have any suggestions for other practical mods. I would like to see my HP at around 330 to the flywheel, something similar to the FQ330, and i dont really wanna raise boost. Up to those who can gimme some sugg.

if u plan on drag racing, u might as well add an HKS clutch to the list becasue the car's stock clutch isn't going to hold launches well

I would still recommend at least a manual boost controller to help hold ur boost... A dyno flash after those monds, and a intercooler , plus a fuel pump...

330 easy maybe 350 with a good tuner...

Reconsider the boost control. HKS makes a nice EBC. It will compliment your other mods well. Also agree on the fuel pump. high flow cat maybe? You don't really need the IC piping.

With a dynoflash and your existing mods, you should easily obtain 330 crank HP. This would only be a 60 hp increase from stock. The only problem is how to measure it.

Buschur flashed Econo package... go check it out at their site. However, if money is no object, a professionaly installed Buschur flashed stage 3 with a good clutch would be on the upper end of your wish list... and damn fast too (however, way above your goals and not HKS).

WHAT?

It's not about turning up boost... Holding boost is totally different... Remember boost is addictive, worst than crack in some situations... Also at some point a stronger clutch would be wise...

I recommend a good-quality exhaust system, prefereably the quieter/more tasteful variety, and a Vishnu Xflash.

I have this setup and it's awesome!

It will run you less than $2000 and you should be around your HP goal.

A MBC is an inexpensive (relatively) way to go but it's also an easy way to blow your engine if you're not careful!

GOT2EVOS, I am sort of in the same boat as you. I really like all the HKS products and I am sort of weary of holding the 19 psi all the way to 7k rpm's. Anyways, I have the Carbon-Ti catback and the Type 1 Turbo Timer and they are both wonderful products and I would reccomend both of them to you. The exhaust is a perfect fit and top notch quality, plus it has a great aggressive sound that is not too loud in any way. I kind of want to go with either HKS or Ralliart parts in the future, and I am thinking that I will go with Vishnu for the reflash but I will just have to see.

Also, this week I ordered HKS grounding wires and a ralliart filter element so if you are interested, I can give you an update once those parts are installed. Good luck.
