We'll I have a evo 8 mods are:

Injen intercooler piping and intake
Forge recirculating valve
Aftermarket intercooler
Evo 9 turbo
Apexi exhaust

Here's my problem when I hit boost just 1 psi my check engine light blinks I'm pretty sure it has the tephra mod but I'm not even getting into boost to be over boosting if can't seem to figure it out and I'm scared to drive it cause I don't want the motor to blow apart on me the car was tuned before the evo 9 turbo was put on also invade that's the problem. Please help

 

Blinking CEL means its knocking, get the car tuned.

Just floor it. If it blinks at high rpms then get a tune. But at 1 psi... I doubt there's anything serious...

The CEL is a knock warning btw not overboost warning.

 

Ok than knock, why would it do that at such a low boost level than need help don't wanna **** the engine, ya tune sure that helps but it didn't always do this why would it just all of a sudden do it

 

change in temp can do it. but seriously, low boost knock cannot damage your engine. maybe over like 100,000 miles continuously but its nothing to be worried about.

yes, you should still probably think about tuning but floor it and see what happens. just because it knocks there doesn't mean it will knock through the rest of the power curve.
