question about intake manifold
question about intake manifold
anyone know if porting and polishing the stock intake manifold would give me more gains then a skunk2 manifold i ask because its gonna cost around the same either way i go
my set up is 2.3 stroker, 272 cams, and an ams 30r kit tuned on speed density

I wondered this question forever, ported Skunk2 or ported stocker. I went with a Curt Brown ported stocker, they're both nicely proven routes but in order for the Skunk2 to work real good it needs to be ported as well and that's just pricier
I don't know about an unported Skunk2 but the runners can be ported a lot on them, the walls are pretty thick.
I would think the Skunk2 can flow more than a OEM ported. Call Chad Block, he recommended the Skunk2 to me. Tom-TSC also has experience with them and other IMs.

I have a STM ported skunk 2, it was 4-6 hrs labor I think to port it. STM said the skunk 2 was the best they had come across once cleaned up.
I didn't do back to back testing cause I did s2 cams simultaneously.
