decided finally.. 2.2(4g63) at jackson automachine shop

it was quite hard to decide between 2.0, 2.0lr. 2.1 2.2...finally decided on 2.2 build based on 4g63 wiesco pistons for 2.2, 153mm R&R rods +625 bolts ,k1 94mm crank part number(032bc940) balance shaft delete kit...than it was hard to decide which shop to choose to build the block from...after speaking to few shops spoke to tony @ jackson automachine shop finally decided to send the block to tony... Car is daily driven and for weekend drags, with 6466 turbo with ported polished head kelford 272 cams 1mm over size valves, map rev 3 intake manifold 70mm throttle body

been assurred by tony that this will be a stout combination and can rev 9500rpm easily can handle high boost.. which im planing 45psi of 6466 on meth if everything goes well....what do u guys think of this combination...another thing i was concered about is K1 crankshaft on k1 website they have 2 cranks leight weight crank which is 30lbs and another one is 32lbs so whats the weight of this part number (032bc940) and whats the price difference
thanks

The difference is around $250.00 bucks if I remember correctly. I was looking at this crank not to long ago and I remember seeing the standard K1 crank at $1399.99 bucks and the light weight one at 1649.99 or somewhere in that ball park.

Did you get your rotating assembly from English Racing?! They're the only ones I know of who sell a 2.2L stroker kit with all the parts you mentioned.

I ran into an issue with R&R rods from English Racing, but getting the Wiseco pistons off the shelf from another vendor at a different time:

The compression height will be different if your rod length is the same as a 2.3.

Common issue with parts from different manufacturers. A little time on the mill and they'll fit perfectly We've got a few projects in here right now consisting of the exact same setup, it's becoming quite popular.

You're going to be happy with JAM and Tony, so far everything he said my engine would be, it is! I can't wait to put more load on it, but winter's been really harsh for us this year so loading up engine is going to have to wait until Spring. Best of all, my engine stopped consuming oil!!!

Good choice of components, bad choice on the shop. There's a lot of horror stories about JAM. The theme usually goes, "they were great on the phone, then they took forever, then my motor exploded, then they were impossible to get a hold of". Why didn't you just have English Racing build it?

Unfortunately no shop is perfect but thankfully things have changed for the better since I've taken over and we have more satisfied customers than not. The reality is that poor reviews spread like wildfire while happy customers tend to be more reserved. I hope to continue to earn your trust and undo the damage that's been done. I can provide references for anyone considering our services.
