Unfortunately I wont be able to have a direct back to back testing. I'm changing a couple of things on my car.
But I hope to have results very soon.

Are you fabbing the DP or is Fat house done with theirs yet?

That was one more benefit I saw that no one mentioned yet. It will be nice to have the ability to swap rather painlessly to an open down pipe for track use.

Hotside looks badass, glad to see some customers receiving these now. Looking forward to some testing.

If anyone missed it, unfortunately Buschur said these hotsides will NOT be allowed in the stock appearing turbo class at the Shootout.

I'm going to have a local fab up my downpipe and dump tube. My downpipe is already hacked/modified for my current setup. So it wont be a big deal to make an 02 housing to match my current downpipe.

I'm surprised no one asked this yet but have you weighed this hotside compared to a stock hotside?

They may say 4 weeks, but It's not happening.
I too have been calling every few days. They have yet to give a time frame. They received my turbo for a rebuild over 2 weeks ago and their excuse is they have a new batch of turbos being built. If they're this far behind maybe they should hire more help to expedite this process. My cars been down for three weeks and I have no other means of transportation.. FP doesnt seem to care at all.

Good luck with that being that the MHI ones are hard to find. Nobody cares about buschur anyways.

I talked to them yesterday and I was told they don't guarantee any build times.so I asked even if someone has paid in full for a turbo if they could take over a year if they wanted to, and they said yes and if you don't like that get your money back

11lb vs 7.5lb for the new housing.

I wish I had a few hours to talk about manufacturing and how it works but trust us we don't want to have to wait 5-8 weeks to build turbos. It's not a staffing issue either and everyone in a while we do hit a snag in a supply chain and not get what we were expecting when we were expecting it. However we do try and best to fill all orders as quickly as we can but we are not a retailer we are a manufacturer first and foremost. What that means is that we operate like any other manufacturer does in that we forecast needs based on parts on hand, current demand, and projected future demand based on previous trends. The problem comes in that we are not able to accurately project future demand because of sporadic ordering practices by the majority of our vendors.

In a perfect world vendors are supposed to order to stock products and sell what they have on the shelf to customers. Anything else and it's considered back ordered, and they would submit a PO every month or more for a set number of items. This allows a manufacturer to forecast future demand without this demand may fluctuate wildly and if a PO comes in after parts have been orered from our supplier it has to wait till the next cycle to be built as ordering one set of parts is pricey. It's the way manufacturing works and regardless of the vendor we NEVER EVER take their money till product is ready to ship.

So we're sorry if we're not able to fill your turbo order immediately and unless you process your order online we do not take your money till it's ready to ship. We would love to be a part of your project but we cannot meet deadlines or be held accountable for your car being down. We make every effort to get stuff build as quickly as possible and communicate when something goes astray like a supply chain issue but we work within the confines of being a manufacturer and sometimes that means waiting.

We have our first O2 Eliminator Downpipe fabbed up and ready to gear up for production. We posted more pictures on our Facebook page but here is a few quick shots of it.

It will be offered in Recirculated, Standard Dump, and hood dump. Being an O2 eliminator style downpipe will keep it full 3" from the housing back and eliminate one junction/flange and the need for any type of gasket. We also use a top of the line flex bellow instead of the braided kind. Please let us know if you have any questions.

Any chance there will be an option for those of us with an AMS 3-bolt flange, or I suppose without a flange welded onto the end?

Yes we can leave the flange off. We may be able to offer it with the 3 bolt flange at some point as well.
