Fu Arc!

Let me just be the first to tell you.. Installing the ARC intercooler is a *****.. Ohh sure.. it bolts on... haha... who are they joking? I needed to fabricate a bracket or two, remove the velocity cover for the oil cooler, cut stuff here and there.. create new lower intercooler piping..

but at least..

I'm done..

Pictures soon..

pressure drop is insignificant compared to the temp reductions !!!

Have you guys MEASURED the temps of the stocker vs the ARC ??!!!???!!!
HMOG .. on a cold day with water spraying full bore at 60mph .. your post intercooler temp at 19psi is almost (ALMOST ) ambient !!!!

Oh yes.. mine fits nicely without any mods .. heheheh

A larger intercooler will increase volume in the chamber and decrease air velocity at the lowend because it's more air to move, so you should actually experience a drop in power at lowend gaining some on top end when velocity of air reaches a point where the extra chamber space is actually benificial. For street use, stock intercooler is more than enough unless you have heavy mods like big turbo ...etc

It should make more power when its sunny since the new cooler will make intake temps lower...dense air more power

Some guys had to turn down there boost controllers because of increased efficiency? more boost...

over 20 psi turbo gets warm..but yeah with a bigger turbo you will need to upgrade for it to perform at its peak...

yes its true denser air/ cooler air = more power (about every 10degreesF decrease roughly translates to 6HP increase) however the turbo LAG also increases with a larger core and that is where it slows you down. Only at high rpm's and higher boost ... basically higher everything will a larger intercooler start to work for you.
