Ultimate Racing Test Pipe Install
Could someone please PM me any hints to installing the UR testpipe....I'm mostly interested in how to complete the 02 sensor extension.

nice write up on the installation....but i just used some butt connectors. i have had the test pipe installed for almost 10 months with little problems (except i was having some issues with the o2 sensor rubbin the driveshaft) for that i bought some kartboy hard exhaust mounts, and bent the bung so it was pointing toward the exhaust and away from the o2 sensor.

Maybe someone could PM me
Cutting the stock wires does not concern me (if it is a simple cut and splice) I have not got under the car yet to really inspect the o2 sensor and see how many wires, how much length needs to be added, what needs to be done to clean up the wiring afterward, etc...
I could learn all this "on the fly" but I would prefer to be prepared. I know a lot of you guys are using this set up - can someone pm me more detail? Much appreciated.

I just did mine if i can do it you will be fine. UR supplies necessary wire. Just cut the provided wire in to 4 equal lengths then get under the car and cut one wire solder in the extension piece. Do this 4 times you are done. Remember use some good quality insulation to prevent moisture ingestion. Great product by the way
thanks for the support

I've spent tens of thousands of dollars modding cars (mustangs & wrx)...I'm fairly competent. The purpose of my post was to gather data. In particular, finding out about the splicing of the wires and any tips or tricks that assist in finishing the job quickly and effeciently.
Is it ok with you if I collect pertenent info. to do the job well? Better yet...do you have any productive info. regarding this particular mod?
Thanks for making evolutionm great place to meet people with similar interests and share information....I look forward to more of your super productive posts in the future.

If you have spent "tens of thousands of dollars" and you are asking about how to install a test pipe and wire extension, I am giving you pertenent info. You should think about having a shop work on your car if this kind of install is going to be hard for you.
Now for some tips. The install instructions are simple, but if you choose to extend the wires, DO NOT!! use but clamps or wire crimps. Soulder it! O2 sensors (few exceptions) use a signal betweer .1V and 1V. It would take just a little corrosion in your butt connector or wire crimp to cause interferance and give your O2 a bad or slightly off signal and screw up your fuel trim. This applys to all wiring you may do, but especially to and sensor inputs to the ECU because most are low voltage and very sensitive. Don't be a cheap *** and soulder your connections. Heat wrap is also the best way to protect your wiring. it prevents moisture from corroding the wiring and will not fall off on sang as easy as other methods. All of the equiptment nessary to do all of this can be had for relativly cheap at any Radio Shack and after a litte pratice with some spare wire, you should be good to go to nice and cleanly connect any wiring you may need.

nice
Wow
Now that's some usefull information
Thanks for stepping up to the plate and being positive....
I prefer to do as much work on my car as possible as my experiences with most shops has been mixed at best.
Thanks
